We created our store front in March 2005 at Litchfield Beach as a resource for unique, fun, colorful, one-of-a-kind beach art, home furnishings and accessories. Fish inventory includes a delightful assortment of must have personal accessories from Pine Cone Hill bedding, PJs and bathrobes. We have established a reputation as a great place to go for a mood boost. Customers consistently state that shopping at The Fish puts a smile on their face. In the December 2006 issue of Coastal Living and again in the December 2008 issue of Southern Living, we were introduced to thousands of readers making shopping at The Fish no longer a secret to our local customers. “Technicolor Dream” and “In Living Color” featured our home decked in holiday finery from Lazy Fish. Readers from all over the globe hungry for on-line access to our inventory prompted us to rollout our web store. We’re excited to offer some of our favorite items online!
Our relocation south from Litchfield Beach to Pawleys Island in March 2007 was a success and since the move we continue to grow.
In January 2008, Debbie was one of seventeen retailers from across the nation who became the first graduates of AmericasMartUniversity (AMU) in a ceremony staged during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market (Jan. 8-16, 2008). The first graduating class has successfully completed professional-level courses taught by experts on a wide range of business practices, and was honored at an exclusive dinner at the Capital City Club in Atlanta.
We continue to grow in 2009 with both Pine Cone Hill and Rowallan of Scotland announcing Lazy Fish as their Partner Store for the Grand Strand in South Carolina. We are blessed with wonderful customers, staff and are very excited about the news that Home Accents Today magazine named Lazy Fish as one of the best and the brightest retail stars for 2009.
